Hello everyone! Just a small post today.
I realised today that I haven’t posted my knitting in several months – though, I will admit, for some strange reason I find myself more interested in knitting in the spring and summer than in the winter. Maybe it’s because I’m too hot to do anything but sit in the AC room watching Netflix? Either way, it looks like knitting season’s starting for me!
My yarn closet is in utter disarray, and I definitely have waaaay too much yarn; so I dug out my half-used acrylic yarn balls from back when I’d first started knitting. I also wanted to do something different, but not too different (I like to watch Netflix and knit), so I broke out my circular knitting needles and took a shot at knitting the seed stitch in the round!
When I do feel like putting some more effort in my knitting, I work on this little piece (very little, I only make it about eight rows in before I get tired and move on to something faster!) It’s the Lazy Links pattern from New Stitch a Day.
I like to bring in a little of the outside when I photograph my knitting. We’re on the tail end of spring now, so I only found one poppy that didn’t fall apart when I touched it, a dandelion, and some stragglers I gathered from beneath the azalea bushes in the park.
And that’s where my knitting has been these past few months! I think next I might try crocheting again… Twice I’ve had friends try to teach me, and both times it was just too difficult for me! But maybe this time I’ll be ready. Wish me luck!
