Last weekend I went to the Tobu Treasure Garden, a beautiful gem tucked away just 15 minutes from Morinjimae Station on foot.
There’s a neat nursery in there, an elegant shop with gardening supplies, tea sets, teas, and various herbal/flower soaps, etc., an outdoor cafe on a patio, and a restaurant inside the Victorian House.
I’ve been a couple times – once in the summer with Paul, and once in the restaurant for a work party at night in the dead of winter.
In the late summer, once the poppies start to die, you can actually go into the field and pick them!
Both times it was a lovely place, but nothing compares to the garden in the spring!
They always advertise the Moss Phlox Festival (the gorgeous pink, purple, and white ground covering). I think we came a little early in the season, or the flowers were not as thick as they were in past years; regardless, it was beautiful!
Katie was my companion that day! We spent a lot of time photo-bombing each other accidentally (or on purpose, in my case). ^_^
I’m excited for the next month or two, when the rose garden will burst into bloom!
There were also other lovely early-spring flowers:
There’s a gorgeous wedding chapel attached to the Treasure Garden, as well! Never been, obviously, but it’s pretty to see from a distance.
And that’s the Tobu Treasure Garden! If you’re ever out here, you can find their information on their website here.
Until next time! またね！
