Hello everyone! Just a small post today.
I realised recently that it’s been several months since I last documented my knitting. It’s funny – I usually knit more in the summer, when I don’t need anything I make; but then again, I get sick more often in the winter, and I don’t like to knit when I’m sick…which is what happened this winter!
A week ago my mom sent me a package with four massive balls of yarn – and even better, they were soft! It’s very hard to find soft, lovely-coloured, large balls of yarn for cheap here in Japan. The soft balls of yarn I like are usually around $6-10 a ball and only have enough to make a cowl; now, with the yarn my mom sent me, I can make a full-length scarf! Thanks Mom!
I’ve always wanted to learn a lace pattern, but they’ve always been fairly complicated and require a lot of attention. I like to knit while I watch movies and T.V. shows (makes me feel less guilty when I binge watch a show and have something knitted at the end!) and I need something simple and repetitive.
And then I found the Old Shale knitting pattern! It’s easy – you just need to know how to knit, purl, yarn over, and knit two together!
I’ve also been slowly piecing together a lap-blanket! I think I’m going to have to make it a little bigger, though.
That’s all for now!
I’m excited – this Saturday I’ll be going on a teacher’s trip to Yokohama, and we’re going to the Cup Noodle Museum! I’m curious to see what’s there.
Until next time! またね！
