This Week in Pictures: 1/8/17

Hello everyone!

Last Monday we finished up our trip to Seoul and flew back home. It was a wonderful experience!

Though we were only gone for less than a week, it was nice to be home again. Tokyo’s skyline looked as lovey as ever from the bus ride home:

I put up my new baby cactus I bought in Insa-dong:

And then I was sick and stayed home for a few days, and the cats kept me company. Occasionally they would also steal my seat:

They also deigned to snuggle with Paul, as well:

My sore throat and the cold weather drove me to the kitchen, where I made some gingery wonton soup from this recipe. It turned out delicious!

And then the next day I made an Italian chicken soup (recipe here) with homemade vegetable stock from leftover peelings!

And finally, today my friend Katie came over to make Chai tea from scratch. It was easily the best chai tea I’ve ever had! And perfect for my throat!

Slow week, and sick, but with great food and tea! Not too bad!
