Just a small update on life here in Japan! It seems that the heat has finally broken here in Tatebayashi, and it’s been cool and rainy here the past few days. I noticed a couple of days ago that the trees across the street in the park have at last begun to change and drop their leaves!
Today, Monday in Japan, is a holiday, so Paul and I spent a lazy morning playing Bloodborne (him) and knitting (me) while it drizzled outside. Since it’s been so cool out, I made us a few cups of coffee and tea to enjoy!
(I’ve also been listening to the soundtrack to FTL: Faster than Light all morning. It’s an awesome game that I’ve only played once – I got really far in and really attached to my characters, and then my ship exploded, and I couldn’t bear to get so attached again!)
Cooler weather has also meant renewed cat activity. Our cats Aster (the black and white one) and Olive (the black one) have been chasing each other all over the apartment.
Sassy cats abound. Olive is heavy and this morning she woke me up by pouncing on my chest, trying to get to Aster, who had snuggled up between me and Paul. I don’t know why I love her, pssh.
